Has anyone here used or heard of Ben Nye makeup? I was flipping through my husbands machine kulture Deluxe magazine and I plant an commodity on Pin Up makeup. It's an interview between Sabina Kelley and Jennifer Corona who is a makeup artist. She mentioned BenNye equally one of her favourite makeup brands. Looks interesting, but i have had little success ordering from swatches on websites ,
i need to come across the colours in real life on me before choosing a lipstick or foundation.

This correct. Ben Nye is a stage/theatrical make-upwards. If you lot are prone to zits/breakouts this might non be for you. It's great for photograph shoots, fliming ect but a bit also heavy for daily wear unless you are trying to cover up scars.

I've used some Ben Nye eyeshadows back in my punk rock days (circa 1979-83), and they were great - very pigmented. Never used the make upwardly or anything else though.

I would disagree. They accept a full line - and that includes powder, eyeshadow, pulverization chroma,s water/powder foundations, lipstick, liners, mascara, brush cleaner, etc. All of which but fine for any skin.

That's slap-up. I'm so glad to accept found then many people familiar with this brand. I'd really like to order a few things but I don't know where to order. I take found a few Ben Nye items on eBay but I'd similar more selection. I'd similar to get a concealer cycle and some kind of foundation and so a setting powder. Perhaps a creme blush wheel, and a lipgloss wheel and some eyeshadows. The lipgloss and eyeshadow wheels would brand fantastic stocking stuffers.

I am a fan of Ben Nye. I take an eyeshadow palette from them that is just matte neutrals and I always end upward using at to the lowest degree one color on almost every job. The colors are quite pigmented and a little goes a long fashion.

Fantastic! Thank yous and so much. Banana powder sounds fantastic. I will probably get some foundation, banana powder, a concealer for blue, a concealer for cherry-red, a chroma wheel, and perhaps an eyeshadow palette and a ligploss wheel. It'south then difficult! I want it all!

Rebecca - Thanks for the link. Have yous tried the creme foundations yourself? Are they heavy or practise they blend easily to allow for light coverage. Right now I am using BareMinerals which used to work GREAT. Now I get orange peel skin....yuk. Are there whatsoever BenNye foundations yous tin recommend?

As far every bit the foundation goes, I only have the creme ane Ben Nye makes. They are a medium-full coverage, but if you sparse it downward with moisturizer you tin make information technology alot thinner (I like to become a pea-sized corporeality of foundation on the back of my hand, and then a few strokes of the foundation with my foundation castor and mix it in with the moisturizer and brand a nice, creamy and lighter version of the foundation).

Thank you so mush for the advice and ideas. My skin gets very dry and flaky in the wintertime fourth dimension. The foundation idea would be terrific.
I'm pretty off-white in the winter, and I go slightly peachy tan in the summer. I normally option foundations that are too dark or too orange, so I always pick one shade lighter than what I think is my colour. I'll probably selection something from the Creme Lite, L-0.

I was just watching a classic the other dark, and the makeup artist was Ben Nye(yes, I read the credits). Kinda absurd that at that place is a product line out at that place carrying his name and that vintage loving gals are into it.

My mom got me the Creme Foundation in P-43 Alabaster and some powder in Translucent Off-white. At first, I was trying to apply it like other cream foundations I've used and it was SOOOO cakey and pastey. A little goes a Actually REALLY long way - less is more than. I need very lilliputian to do my whole confront and it looks overnice and natural. I stipple the sponge over the cream, then stipple that lightly on my confront. At first it doesn't look like anything is going on, but that is just because my mommy was so crawly at matching my skin tone. I can really notice once I've done my whole face. My complexion is even simply the hue even so varies in a subtle and natural style. I haven't had any pause outs from using their makeup. Just I also apply information technology very lightly and I don't article of clothing makeup often. I'd actually like to effort their concealers. Plus I bet their Pancake foundation would be great in the summertime.

I'll 2d that the eyeshadow colors are great if y'all want that super high paint look...add it to the Urban Disuse Primer Potion for eyes and whoa!! Amazing colour!
